Yellow wagtail arrives in Britain between late March and mid May and In August and September they migrate to south west France then on to Portugal

Yellow wagtails can be found in pastures and meadows that have plenty of insects. Often found where cattle and horses graze as they attract the flies they like to feed on.

 

Yellow wagtail is the smallest wagtail and can be found across most of Wales and England.

There are an estimated 15,000 territories in Britain.
